It isn’t rare to find children following in the footsteps of their parents when it comes to choosing careers later in life.  For example, did you know that teaching and church work is kind of a “family business” in the Baganz family?  Mr. Micah Baganz is one of Divine Redeemer Lutheran School’s sixth grade teachers and is much loved by his students.  His love for the Lord, his passion for ministry, and his joy for teaching are all things he learned growing up in his family.  Mr. Baganz’s father was the Executive Director at Racine Lutheran High School and his mother (retired) was an employee of the Lutheran High School Association in the Development Office.   Mr. Baganz’s uncle is a retired principal/teacher and three of his cousins were, or presently are, teachers as well.  In fact, even his own wife, Katie, is the principal at Lake Country Lutheran High School.   Micah will tell you that it has always been fun to watch members of his family minister to people.  Mr. Baganz began his teaching career with a degree from Concordia University, Wisconsin.  He double majored in Broadfield Social Studies and Secondary Education and minored in Theology.  He has taught in two other schools before teaching at Divine Redeemer.  In addition to teaching, Mr. Baganz enjoys coaching basketball at Divine Redeemer. Probably one of his favorite things to do, when he is not at school, is to spend time with his wife traveling to destinations around the world.   We are blessed that at the end of these journeys, he returns home to his school family at Divine Redeemer!  Thanks for all you do Mr. Baganz!
