Lisa is one of several Divine Redeemer teachers that previously taught at the school, left to raise their own children, and returned to teach here again. Lisa's time at DRLS actually began as as student teacher. She was thrilled to have the opportunity to stay on as a full-time teacher after graduating from Concordia University- Wisconsin, with a degree in Elementary/Middle Education and minor in Mathematics. After spending time as a stay-at-home mom and a few years teaching kindergarten and first grade part-time, Lisa was thrilled to return the 5th Grade classroom at DRLS.
Lisa and her husband, Scott, have two children, Jacob and Katelyn. Lisa loves to use positive reinforcement to help students learn. She believes in working hard in the classroom and learning from our mistakes!
Lisa's love for Christ and her love for teaching play a huge role in her life. She sees being a teacher as more than just a career. Lisa feels called by God to reach out to each student right where they are, and to simply let them know what an amazing gift they are! God created all of us as unique individuals with His purpose in mind. She loves to help students recognize differences as God-given gifts, and she looks for ways to celebrate each student as the unique individual that God created them to be!
