Kathy Oldenburg ~ Mrs. Kathy Oldenburg obtained her teaching degree from Concordia College in Seward, Nebraska.  Her first teaching position was at Elm Grove Lutheran School where she met her husband, Mike.  When Mike received the Call to be the principal of Divine Redeemer Lutheran School, Kathy was also Called to serve as Divine Redeemer's Second Grade teacher.  She spent a total of nine years of her career teaching at Elm Grove Lutheran School and currently has surpassed more than twenty years of teaching at Divine Redeemer.  She has been teaching for almost thirty years and most of those years has been at the Second Grade level.  She was recently honored with the "Early Childhood Educator of the Year" award for the South Wisconsin District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.

God has blessed Kathy and Mike with three wonderful sons- Matthew, Mark, and Jonathan.  Two beautiful daughters-in-law have joined the Oldenburg family as well.  With the boys and wives living in the area, they all enjoy great family times together- especially cheering on the Green Bay Packers!

In Kathy's own words..."From the time I was a kindergartner at St. Paul's Lutheran School in Rockford, Illinois, I knew I wanted to be a Lutheran School Teacher.  I was molded and inspired by so many teachers, who not only gave me an excellent academic education, but shared the saving message of the free gift of salvation through faith in Jesus.  I knew that God was calling me to this ministry as well."

"Divine Redeemer is my second family", she continues, " I am inspired by my students as I see them maturing into Christian leaders of our future.  I value the tremendous support of my students' parents, and I treasure the gifted faculty and staff here at Divine Redeemer.  God's goodness is beyond measure."
