Mary & Joseph Looking for a Place to Stay
Mary & Joseph Looking for a Place to Stay

It has long been the tradition at Divine Redeemer that students in Second Grade learn all about Christmas's Around the World.  Different countries and their traditions of celebrating the Christmas Season include Italy, Mexico, Germany, and more!  Traditions such as the Mexican Posada, the Yule Log, Saint Lucia and others are brought to life in the classroom.  The students even participated in a parade from classroom to classroom acting out the long journey of Mary and Joseph, only to be rudely turned away until finding rest in a lowly stable. It truly is a blessing to be able to celebrate the birth of our Savior and the cultures throughout the world during this special time.  It is a blessing to be a Christian school where students freely and excitedly celebrate the true meaning of Christmas!
